Lahaina Swim Club practice

Our Mission Statement, Vision, and Philosophy

Our Mission is to foster swim talent on Maui in a Safe and Nurturing Environment.

Lahaina Swim Club aims to create a fun, competitive environment which fosters a life-long love of swimming while developing life skills.

Teamwork: Lahaina Swim Club is a community based competitive swim team built upon the commitment, support, and participation of its board, coaches, swimmers, parents/guardians, and the community at large. LSC believes that its success in achieving the team’s goals is dependent upon the cooperation of all members. It strives to create and maintain positive, constructive relationships between the coaches, parents/guardians and athletes.

Coaching: Lahaina Swim Club is committed to providing comprehensive, expert swim training through its experienced coaching team. In addition to swim training, LSC promotes the practice of healthy lifestyle habits, such as good nutrition and sleep.

The Swimmer: Lahaina Swim Club believes that each swimmer is an individual with a different background, needs, and goals. The team focuses on the development of positive self esteem and individual goal setting. LSC believes that all members should model team spirit and sportsmanship.

Reporting Abuse

Lahaina Swim Club is committed to providing a safe environment for all of its members. To that end, LSC has appointed a safe sport coordinator, Amy McGill, to assist members in voicing their concerns. Our Athlete Welfare Advocate is an adult who has volunteered to be available to any member who is concerned about the conduct of coaches, staff, volunteers or other athletes and wants to talk about it. LSC has put into place policies and procedures that are meant to foster an environment that is safe for all members.
